heee heee they’re done!!!

So the ’some poor SOB married to a MEB’ (SOB for short ) bought me a

wonderful swift for our anniversary back in January , along with this he bought me some great sock yarn. When I first looked at it I have to admit I was wonder where the crack was that he was on, and why the hell wasn’t he sharing! Well then I started to knit with the yarn and oh my god was it fun. I really haven’t had that much fun knitting before! It was a constant what is it going to do next? What color is coming now? Yes I admit that they are some outrageous colors that by themselves I could never buy (well maybe the blue ) and they are the type of socks that if they weren’t covered by shoes they would be seen a mile away, but they’re FUN! Plus they don’t really match! So as you can tell I’m officially hooked on self-patterning sock yarn. Next step is to dye some myself that could be fun.

So it is official I am down to only 2 knitting projects, it feels so odd! I think though that I have neglected my Valentine’s day present for long enough and it is time to break out the dye (or kool-aid, or food coloring) and make that beautiful 100% merino yarn, that the wonderful SOB bought me, very colorful. I’m not quite sure yet what I am going to do with the yarn, hopefully I will figure that out once the coloring has been completed. If not I think I’ll sneak out and get some sock yarn to dye and play with

In other news I think that my arms might just stay attached it was rather touch and go there for awhile though. You see it was a beautiful day today, sunny and around 70, so I figured I would let the little girl play outside and I would work in the yard. It just goes to show either how tiring raking can be or I’m just plain out of shape. Of course I would feel worse if SOB wasn’t also sore and tired. But for awhile afterwards I felt that my arms were just going to fall off and I would be without them. On the bright side though today really wore out the little girl since she played outside for a good 5 hours, chasing the dogs, chasing the boys, helping me put the piles into trash bags, chasing the dogs, taking the piles out of the trash bags, checking out the pond, and did I mention chasing the dogs? I put her down for a nap, mainly because she got to the point that she just sat in the middle of the yard pathetically crying and rubbing her eyes. That was at 5:45 this evening, and here it is 9:30 and all I’ve heard from her has been the rustle of her changing positions in her bed. Oh well, hopefully she’ll wake up soon otherwise she’ll be demanding my presence at the ass crack of dawn.

Well I promised SOB that I would play craps with him, then it’s off to Wal-Mart I go for a small crockpot for him and dyeing supplies for me!
