well I’m back!

ok so I have been really bad about this whole blog thing, but I’ll try to do better in the future. Not much going on here at this very moment, of course it is 11pm at the moment and so if something major was a foot then things would be bad. 😛

So my life is starting to calm down now though, many things have been going on and now that is stopping which is in my opinion a good thing. Now what things have been going on? you might ask, well……. first and foremost is that I’m a mom, of a 9 year old and an 18 month old, who I might add has finally in the past month learned what the whole walking thing is about, and let me tell you that I miss the days when she wasn’t as quick as she is now. Anyway her favorite past time is tormenting the dogs, which involves if she is outside then she runs after them giggle maniacally and if she catches them she’ll pet (beat upside the head) them, or if they are being fed then she will plop down beside one of them and proceed to take the food out of the bowl (while blocking it) one piece at a time and feed it to the poor dog, it is amazing that they put up with this but luckily they are. Yet if she is indoors and has food she’ll taunt them with it through the windows. Argghhhh. My nine year old is just really obsessed with Pokemon and his Nintendo DS, seeing him without it is a rare thing.

Ok so that is the kids, then there is the husband who I am trying my hardest to convince that it really is ok to work on the bathroom that he gutted over a year ago, but at the moment this is falling on seemingly deaf ears (much to my disgruntlement).

Then there is the house, which I in my insanity have decided to repaint, now granted it has needed it for quite some time, but it is a chore and then some since we have not 1, not 2, but 3 buildings on our property for me to paint.

Add to this that I am now finishing school, finally, this coming week is finals which is no biggie since all I have to do is finish a painting before wednesday and memorize two slam poems by tuesday, no biggie right?

And finally I have recently found out that I have a super scary stalker neighbor that has like a whole portfolio of anything in the last 5 years have been bad in my household, but it isn’t like they got all of the facts either, they only got a grain of truth and then blew it way out of proportion and then made a complaint to CPS. So the guy had to come and walk through my house and ask me if I had any enemies. Don’t know what I did to piss the people off but I guess that I did. Harrumph

Oh and I have been knitting, working on a full circle skirt, done in the flickering flames lace pattern which is turning out really well. I also have been dyeing yarn, actually finished some just a few minutes ago, I was going to give it to a friend but it didn’t turn out as well as I would have liked so I’ll dye her some other yarn I have.

heee heee they’re done!!!

So the ‘some poor SOB married to a MEB’ (SOB for short 😉 ) bought me a

wonderful swift for our anniversary back in January , along with this he bought me some great sock yarn. When I first looked at it I have to admit I was wonder where the crack was that he was on, and why the hell wasn’t he sharing! Well then I started to knit with the yarn and oh my god was it fun. I really haven’t had that much fun knitting before! It was a constant what is it going to do next? What color is coming now? Yes I admit that they are some outrageous colors that by themselves I could never buy (well maybe the blue :P) and they are the type of socks that if they weren’t covered by shoes they would be seen a mile away, but they’re FUN! Plus they don’t really match! So as you can tell I’m officially hooked on self-patterning sock yarn. Next step is to dye some myself 😛 that could be fun.

So it is official I am down to only 2 knitting projects, it feels so odd! I think though that I have neglected my Valentine’s day present for long enough and it is time to break out the dye (or kool-aid, or food coloring) and make that beautiful 100% merino yarn, that the wonderful SOB bought me, very colorful. I’m not quite sure yet what I am going to do with the yarn, hopefully I will figure that out once the coloring has been completed. If not I think I’ll sneak out and get some sock yarn to dye and play with 😛

In other news I think that my arms might just stay attached it was rather touch and go there for awhile though. You see it was a beautiful day today, sunny and around 70, so I figured I would let the little girl play outside and I would work in the yard. It just goes to show either how tiring raking can be or I’m just plain out of shape. Of course I would feel worse if SOB wasn’t also sore and tired. But for awhile afterwards I felt that my arms were just going to fall off and I would be without them. On the bright side though today really wore out the little girl since she played outside for a good 5 hours, chasing the dogs, chasing the boys, helping me put the piles into trash bags, chasing the dogs, taking the piles out of the trash bags, checking out the pond, and did I mention chasing the dogs? I put her down for a nap, mainly because she got to the point that she just sat in the middle of the yard pathetically crying and rubbing her eyes. That was at 5:45 this evening, and here it is 9:30 and all I’ve heard from her has been the rustle of her changing positions in her bed. Oh well, hopefully she’ll wake up soon otherwise she’ll be demanding my presence at the ass crack of dawn.

Well I promised SOB that I would play craps with him, then it’s off to Wal-Mart I go for a small crockpot for him and dyeing supplies for me!

Hmmm so I’m completely new to this

So to be perfectly honest I am so woefully new to this whole blogging thing.  For some reason I got this wild hair up my ass to start blogging.  I’m not really sure quite yet why, maybe it’ll come to me someday.   It might be that I’m completely bored at the moment with 5 male people behind me being ubergeeks and playing D&D, the kiddos are sleeping and I really don’t feel like cleaning any more tonight.  All of that combined with the fact that I am in one of the those blah moods where I don’t really know what I want to do and really don’t know what I want to do.  I really don’t feel like knitting (for once), sewing, reading, working on my painting, or cleaning.  So I guess I figured what the hell, I’ll start a blog.  Do something that I haven’t ever done before.

My only wish at the moment is I think is that I wish the guys didn’t feel the need to yell while playing, I mean they are all around a table, therefore they are not that far apart.  Yet for some reason they have to yell, I doubt that they even realize that they do it.  Maybe I’ll forgive them for the headache that they are giving me, but then again maybe not.

Anyway I think that I gotten my feet wet enough, I probably will write more when I get up in the morning, who knows when my daughter will demand that I greet the day.  It might be that my thoughts will be a little more coherent but then they might not be. 😛
